Ingredients:

For dough –
Wheat flour- 3 bowl
Salt – 1 tsp
Sweet soda – ¼ tsp
Fresh cream – 2 tbsp
Water – to make dough

For filling-
Potato – 18-20 medium size
Matar(pea seeds) – 1 bowl
Green chilli – 1 chopped
Oil – 3-4 tbsp
Heeng( asafotida ) – ¼ tsp
Saunf – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Haldi (Turmeric powder) – 1 tsp
Crushed coriander seeds – 2 tsp
Salt – 2 tsp( according to taste)
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:
In a flat plate take wheat flour and other ingredients required for dough, mix all and make a medium dough with the help of water. Cover with another plate or bowl and keep it so atleast for 20 minutes.
Boil, peel and mash potatoes. Heat oil in a kadahi, put heeng, saunf than chilli powder, green chilli and pea seeds. Add haldi, coriander seeds, salt. Mix all and cover with a lid. Cook at low flame till peas are soft. Add mashed potatoes, off the gas. Garnish with coriander leaves. Stuffing is ready.
Neat the dough, take small balls and fill the stuffing in it like kachodis. Bake the Batis in a preheated oven till golden brown colour. Take out them and dip in hot ghee. Put in a bowl. Delicious, crispy Matar Bati is ready to serve. Serve these with Dhania chutney, Gajar mirch aachar, Boora or Curd.

Tips:
1.You can add garam masala.
